They have a strong 3mm thick box section steel frame with a 6mm welded bar for attaching the springs. The springs are 250mm long galvanised wire springs, so these trampolines can easily handle heavier participants and we know that these trampoline frames last for over 20 years.
The deluxe safety pads have a top quality American outdoor mesh fabric over a bonded foam pad with a deep 50mm thick cushioning over the frame and 25mm at the mat. Reports are that the mats can last 10-15 years. The springs connect to the mat with a durable nylon cleat, held in with 3 rows of stitching.

But aren’t the ones with the nets safer?
No, the ones with the nets are different. Personally, we call them bouncy play-pens. They are great for preschoolers who do not have good spatial awareness or balance and who want to jump at the same time as a lot of other children. But in our opinion this is not what trampolines are all about. Trampolines should help to teach your child about their bodies. They learn balance, co-ordination and spatial awareness on a trampoline without a net. But you do need to help them, monitor them and teach them the rules and boundaries – just as you do when you buy them a bike or a tennis racket!
 
I’ve hear a lot of trampolines rust and the pads go awful after a year or so.
